Sea life
The flora and fauna of the sea is varied, however, due to an nability to take images beneath the waves, this section is limited to invertebrates and flora thatcan be found on the sea shore, or are awashed up from the depths into rock pools. Larger mammals (e.g. seals), sea birds and fish may be found on their respective pages. The coast is a harsh palce to inhabit and the ditribution of organisms is determined by the tidal levels - the lowest levels being uncovered for only a short time whilst at the upper levels the converse is true, with those areas only being covered by water for a very short time - both extremes and those inbetween over very different habitats and conditions e.g desiccation, temperature, light, competition for resources.
